17 October 2014 - Protest Against Australian Refugee Resettlement Deal
Cambodian human rights activists protested at the National Assembly and the Australian Embassy to block the agreed refugee resettlement deal. Activists claimed Cambodia was still unable to take care of its own people, let alone new refugees. They also cited the high level of corruption in Cambodia's government, and rebuked Australia for abandoning its past record of high respect for human rights.
